The Advisory Board (AB) constitutes a key governance body within the ManyManys (MM) network. The AB consists of (i) project leads, (ii) members at large, and (iii) student advisors. These roles should include researchers from all career stages.
Aims:
- Define, articulate and update MM’s mission and long-term goals by integrating members’ diverse perspectives.
- Monitor progress toward strategic objectives.
- Provide guidance and support to project leads for effective decision-making.
- Establish and review policies and guidelines for collaboration and communication between members (e.g., Code of Conduct, Collaboration Agreement).
- Ensure that MM projects adhere to, enforce, and update the code of conduct.
- Actively seek out sources of funding to support MM as a whole.
- Support grant proposals related to specific MM projects.
- Communicate with various stakeholders, including funders, participants, and the public (e.g., social media, websites, conferences).
- Foster relationships with external organizations and partners.
- Establish mechanisms for evaluating the impact and outcomes of the collaboration.
- Support continuous improvement and innovation within the collaboration (e.g., devising new committees within the network).
