MM1 study kickoff flyer

If you or your team can collect reversal learning data with any animal species, ManyManys wants you as a collaborator!

ManyManys is an international consortium launching the first large-scale, multi-taxa study on reversal learning. While past research has documented reversal learning across several species, comparative studies with multiple taxa remain rare and limited. ManyManys aims to address this gap. To make cross-species comparisons possible, we developed a shared protocol that any lab can implement as part of a coordinated global effort. Data collection is launching soon, and we want you on board!

WHY PARTICIPATE?

  • Be part of an unprecedented large-scale, cross-taxa investigation of reversal learning (find the study protocol here).

  • Join a network of researchers working at the forefront of comparative cognition and behavior.

  • Contribute to open, cumulative science that no single lab could accomplish alone.

  • Receive authorship on manuscripts communicating study results, as outlined in our collaboration agreement.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE?

  1. Join us at the online public study kickoff on June 23, 2026, at 10–11 a.m. (ET) / 2–3 p.m. UTC (time zone converter), where project leads and members involved in the research design will walk through everything you need to know to participate. This is the best opportunity to ask questions, meet the team, and get set up as a contributing site. Add the event to your calendar through this calendar invite (Zoom link is within).

  2. Fill out the site registration form. Once you are ready to sign up as a contributing lab/team, please complete the MM1 site registration form.

If you have questions in the meantime, please send an email to both nicolas.alessandroni@concordia.ca and lpretot@pittstate.edu.

We look forward to welcoming you to the consortium!
